I'm adding this to remember some of the funny things my little boy says and does!
6. My little boy has not been feeling to great lately...just not hungry and kind of yucky. We couldn't get him to eat and I finally asked him what was wrong. He said his heart hurt. I was concerned for a second and then I said, what's wrong with it. He replied that it has stopped beating and we needed to get him to the doctor so he could look at it. That made me smile a little bit! He finally did regain a minute portion of the small appetite he has!
5. The other night we went to Mr. West Jeff and my cute little boy is getting a lot more perceptive about life. Well our nephew Kevin did kind of a skit about how to attract girls. The first three attempts didn't work, but then his last attempt was to make some funny sound with his mouth. So my cute little boy asked me if this was the right sound he proceded to do what Kevin had done. I told him it was and then he said, "Good. Can I go try it on that little girl right there?" I turned and looked and sure enough some cute little girl that Peyts wanted to try his first ever pick up move on. The funny thing is, is that he didn't understand it was a sarcastic skit! We'll have to work on better pick up lines when he gets older! Ha!
4. Also at this same Mr. West Jeff, there was another boy who dressed up as a girl and proceeded to do a dance. So Peyton has been very curious lately about what makes a girl a girl and a boy a boy. He couldn't figure out what breasts were and he was always asking, so I told him they were ribs...(I know I'm terrible, but I didn't want him to go around saying boobs, breast....etc yet!). So he said when he say this boy. "Mommy is that a girl?". I told him it was just a boy dressed up as a girl. And then he said, "Well why does she have ribs?" We always have to be so careful with this little rat. Needless to say we were cracking up that night!
3. My child right now is so wound up for Christmas it isn't even funny. The other day with Andy, he took out some masking tape and taped a bunch of Kleenexs to his face, then went and put on a Santa hat, then stuffed a blanket up his shirt and walked around asking us what we wanted for Christmas. It was pretty cute! How fun to remember some of the excitement of Christmas from a child's perspective.
2. Peyts came to school yesterday and was tired so I went and stole a cushion off of the couch and he stayed on it for about two minutes. Well as we were going to leave I picked up the cushion and imagine my surprise when I saw in scratchy little writing, "PEYTON". I asked him if he wrote on the cushion and he said, "It was one of your students". Imagine such a witty retort when being criminally questioned. I asked again if he wrote on the cushion and to be honest with me and he said, "Well mom you see it was like this...then proceeded to tell another story about someone writing on the couch cushion. Finally I said did you write on the cushion and finally he said, "Yes mom I did!"
1. Last night I was having a coughing fit and I was very tired of coughing and I told Andy I thought I was dying and my cute, sweet little angel said, "Mommy don't die, I love you" and I said I wasn't dying and he replied, "That's good because who would do the laundry?". Imagine a four year old coming up with that! I guess I need to teach him how to do laundry before I kick the bucket and he'll be covered! :-)
